Daorae, the korean BBQ ninja experience.

Daorae is located at the third floor of a shoplot. The funny thing was that the lift can only take 5 people at one time regardless of your weight eventhough in the lift it stated that it could take up to 612kgs.

Meet up with the gang after a long time of not meeting each other. Our meeting place was at Daorae, a Korean restaurant in Kota Damansara. Since it was Merdeka eve, every restaurants were packed with people. It was impossible to get a table without reservation. We did 2 simultaneous reservation at the same time in two different restaurant because we can't decide what to eat. Very 'kiasu' of us. Lol. At last we ended up at Daorae and the funny thing was we canceled our reservation earlier but decided to show up in the end. The lady boss was kind enough to give us a table after the cancellation.

The good point ends here. Now this is where all the nightmares begin. As we were all seated around the table, the waiters forgot to hand us the menus. We were busy catching up with each other, we weren't bothered and neither do them until we came to realize when we were asked to order.

We wanted to order 3 bibimbab and 1 plate of BBQ pork but were told that in order to open the gas stove we had to order at least 1 plate of BBQ meat every 2 person. Since we consist of 7 people, we had to order 3 set of BBQ meats. We followed what the waiter wanted. Then he commented that we had to order another soup because everything we ordered were too dry. Said no to him but I guess he couldn't understand that. He kept insisting us to order the soup eventhough we ordered so many dishes already. In the menu, it stated that in order to open the BBQ stove, one just have to order at least 2 BBQ set regardless of the total people there is. I am not saying they wanted to con us but can't we have a say on what we really want to eat? All the way he kept taking on the wheel on what we should eat. In the end he made it clear that he was afraid that we would refill the side dishes many times because we ordered so little. Isn't it obvious if they offered such service in the first place they should have expected that to happen. He got mad because we don't want to order the soup.

Bibimbab.

Some dishes that i always had when i am at a korean bbq restaurant.

The side dishes. Lets play the sliding of the plates. Wee~ Really turns me off.

I was seated in the middle right in front of the stove and was given ninja training throughout the dinner. He kept coming in to cook the BBQ meat. I had to move right and left to give way for him to cook the BBQ, pour tea or sending our dishes in. Instead of putting nicely, the plates were slide over on the table. No wonder everything were made of plastics. He even burnt our meat because he was too busy juggling dishes, pouring tea and cooking. I rather him pass the tea pot and the cooking job to me and focus only on sending the dishes. After all the ninja training and the chaos of plates sliding around the table, I totally lost my appetite.

My ninja training in process.

My ninja master. Teaching me how to avoid any attack during dinner.

My ninja master took a picture of us together. Must be drunk because he cant get us all in the frame.

So if you all prefer to exercise while eating, feel free to drop by Daorae Korean BBQ Restaurant Kota Damansara. Very near to Sunway Giza.
