this post is about randomness because in order to write a proper post, i need to clean all my thoughts and this is where i shall entangle them one by one.
yesterday i dreamed of being scolded by my boss because i only manage to type 100 words while she already finished a book. i suck at being a clerk. LOL!
durian season is here. heard baling durian is different from penang. got 1 free from the driver who own a plantation himself. been having durian feast for the past week. yes everyday someone will bring durian from their plantation for us. the stench just wont go away. its still lingering in the pharmacy till today. since i had so much myself, i thought i shared some with my family. i asked for 10 ringgit durians and the staff nurse gave me 12 BIG durians. i nearly died of suffocation for the one hour drive back home with a trunk full of durians. managed to finish 5 on the first day and dreaded that there were 8 more to go. offered to neighbours and extended family but no one seem to accept. durians bloom too much this year ehh? did 'pulut durian', did durian ice cream and still there were leftovers in my frigde. any more recipe to try my hands on? gonna make durian muffins this weekend.
since its the durian season, patients with HIGH blood pressure and uncontrolled diabetes kept admitting to the ward.
doc: whao..the blood pressure is really high. did you take your medicine?
patient: doctor i ate durian..
doc: i know i know. its the durian season afterall but did you take your blood pressure medicine?
patient: i ate durian.
doc: ??? -_-""
nurse: oh doctor according to their belief, durian is 'hot', medicine is also 'hot'. cannot administer together. if do will die!!
doc: *laughing nonstop*
another one that i heard was durian and beer should not be taken together. if do will die!! i wonder if that is true..
about the durian ice cream, its pretty simple to do. all you need is
4-5 pieces of durians (i put 8 pieces because i desperately need to finish the durians)
250ml of milk
250ml of cream
125mg of sugar (reduce the sugar if you dont like it sweet)
2 egg yolk
the cream and milk added in a glass pot and bring it up to almost boiling. beat the egg yolk (yes the one you use the egg shell to do 'teh tarik' in order to get the egg yolk only) with the sugar until its light. add the sugar egg yolk mixed in to the cream milk and bring it to almost boiling. remember to stir it because it will curdle if you dont. cool and chill the mixed. for the durian, take the flesh out and if you like a smooth ice cream u can sieve it with a nylon sieve. if you prefer chunks of durian(ben and jerry type) then just dump the durian in a shallow bowl with cover (i put it in a shallow plastic tupperware). pour in the chilled mixed part by part. after mixing everything, just put it in the freezer to settle. check and mixed it a couple a times in between. thats what i do until i dozed off and forgot all about it. the result. fantabulouslicous durian ice cream. i could beat the ice kacang durian ice cream maker. it taste better than his. LOL!!
we went to the hot spring in baling one forgotten day. the last time i was there the pool was natural the place looked jungle-ish. now, its 3 big swimming pool and the place look like a park. the water was so hot that my legs ache for 3 days. imagine if i did the dive like the 'apek'. i will end up paralyzed on the bed for 3 days and 3 nights.
i did the apple cooler to make up to the phailed kiwi cooler. just add ginger ale, bits of apple and white wine. it tasted awesome. i gave that a pass. for the kiwi cooler i shouldn't had put so much lemon juice in the 1st place.
went to bali and the place rocks. i would love to go back there every year. weee..bye bye to my krabi getaway and hello bali. the only thing that i don't like apart from the local food was the conversion rate. from ringgit malaysia to us dollar to rupiah and vice versa. my mind just cant convert straight from ringgit malaysia to rupiah and i dont know why.
at last the spartans case was dropped and the decision was made. i could defend one of the particular drug more but the case would be a long winding one so i decided to keep quiet and say what was necessary. cant bear to hear about it anymore in everything meeting. plus there were more and more people getting involve which was kind of scary.
eh that's about it for now. more update on randomness will continue when i find time.
