'chap goh meh'

every year people ask me where am i going to throw orange on chap goh meh. my answer 'in the jamban'. i poo-ed out all the mandarin orange that i've eaten. LOL. i have never celebrate chap goh meh in my whole life. i have never seen people throwing oranges in the river before eventhough i stay in pg where the festival is most celebrated.

this year chap goh meh was special. i was in baling and i thought it will just be like any other day. to my suprise, the day is full of drama. i was in the middle of meeting halfway when there's a call for me.

'miss lean..half saline dextrose 5 finished'

'miss lean..inj unasyn left 2 only'

'miss lean..the doctor insist on azithromycin'

'miss lean..confirm the dose'

'miss lean..they send tablet instead of injection'

one word..PENGSAN! if it was in the morning, i wouldnt be so heart attack but at 3.45pm, thats got to be a joke. there's only 1 hour 15 mins left to get all the stocks here before all the pharmacies closed. the worse is kedah is not a small state like penang and the roads are all old roads. left the meeting halfway and work as an operator and beggar till 5pm. at 5.30pm the ward call for malaria drugs. took me 20 mins to locate the drugs because my staff are too good in hiding drugs that are seldom use. noticed the dose were all wrong and reconfirm and the doctor had to re-review the patient. waited another half an hour. the 30 mins alone in ward supply was scary. i hated on-calls. the 1st time i was on call, i heard movement. i was so scared i froze till the nurse came to ask for whatever drug she wanted. this time, i heard footsteps which i quickly brush off and pretended it came from outside. man...gonna be oncall tommorow. need to pray for no calls.

then the 'best' part of the day was the whole baling got no electricity. super speechless. that's it for this year chap goh meh. hopefully i will see people throwing oranges on next year's chap goh meh. should be fun i guess.
