yeah..malaysian version of wisteria lane. where?? baling i'll say. the whole place is sooooo small. everyone knows each other there. grown up in the city, i've never experience kampung life before. often i heard or watch on tv, how different ppl in kampung and the city. ppl in kampung are closer to one another. they are friendlier, more honest, helpful and kind. i know you had heard of this gazilion times already, but hearing and experiencing are two whole different things altogether. i can act like a lunatic and nobody even care in the city because everyone is too preoccupied by their own stuff, they dun even have time for me. in lorong wisteria, i guess if u act like a lunatic, the whole lorong, jalan, taman, next taman, next next taman and the next next next taman will know what u just did. i was warned on the 1st day when i reported myself that ppl here are different. it didnt hit me at first until i tried walking down the long long corridor by myself. all the eyes following every steps i took. it was very awkward so i started smilling at them. at that moment the only thing that was in my head was the voice of the opening narrator for desperate housewives on 'fake smiles'. i cant help it because that was what i was told to do. 'senyum selalu'. 'be more gentle'. 'have patience'. i wonder what will happen if i dont. the whole kampung will whacked my head off? no no..maybe the whole kampung will bitched about me like 'lorong wisteria'. LOL!! ok this is what happen when u are overdose of desperate housewives.
ok let me describe 'lorong wisteria' a lil'. the town is very small. it consists of only 3 blocks of buildings meaning there's 3 paralel road side by side. all the 3 road will end up to 1 road leading to the hospital and at the other end will lead you out of baling. you can finish walking the whole town in 1 hour. yeah pathetic i know. baling is also a tourist centre. it is famous for it's hot water spring. if you are a history freak you probably will know the 'perjanjian baling' thingy. yeah it was here in baling they signed the perjanjian. it used to be a communist town which explained the extremely huge hill beside the hospital.
'lorong wisteria' is 1 hour away from my house. the road is super winding and narrow. if you are super good in initial-d, i m sure this road in mean for u because you have to overtake gazillions of lorries in order not to be late for work. along the way, you can spots lots of dead cats, dogs, rats, monitor lizards on the road. therefore you have to sharpen ur initial-d skill so that you dont dirty your tyres. LOL! and if you see the cows mowing grass beside the road be sure to slow down because they tend to like to commit suicide. LOL!!!
ok this is getting crappier. i shall stop now. update more when i get enough of sleep to write a proper post. LOL!!
