happy merdeka day. it is the day again. the day of celebration. the day our country gained independence from the british ruling. the day when our first prime minister shouted 'merdeka' seven times. well it had been half a century now. historical buildings one by one had been demolished to make ways for development. villages emerged to be towns and cities. from growing padi fields we find ourselves in factories handling with machinaries. on this very day, stadium merdeka wasnt the prefered choice anymore. our country had developed over the years but we always questioned the speed of it's growth. we expect too much without moving an inch of muscle. we expect the country to grow in health, education and wealth while we sit there and watch the growth. if you are smart enough to notice, sitting down wont get you anywhere.
lets all reflect on this very day, our country and our future instead of the history half a century ago. what will history do any good to this country when we want a developed country. why bring back the subject of who stepped on this country first. what good does it do in this country? even if u ever found out the 1st person who stays in this country, are you going to make his descendent king? even if you are king u dont have any say in a democratic country. you will only have wealth. as our country moved to a developing country so should its' people. by mentioning the people i mean changes in the people mindset. we should no longer sit there and wait for help or whatever 'miracles' you believe in. the real miracles lies in yourself for you are the person that will make the world change. i think 'malaysia boleh' should be change to 'malaysian boleh' to correct the people's mindset that the goverment will only grow if the people wanted it to grow.
last year's independence day to this year independence day marked a year. a year that i am home in malaysia. so what had happenned. the prices increases. the crime increases. the political parties dramas. the most changes is the mindset of the people. we have the voice so we voice out for improvement (voice out means with solution not the problem only. if not then that is what we call a problem maker). i am going to stress one more time that ntg will happen if we are going to stay static. be ambitious. be hunger for improvement, for knowledge and for changes. someone say to me that nobody in this world is stupid. i couldnt agree more. a person who's great in video games might just be the next creator of the best games ever. even if you feel so useless, you feel like you are worth nothing, i suggest you to help a grandma or a blindperson to cross the road. that will make you worth. improve who you are and you might be the next person to improve the country or maybe the world. who knows. someone tell me if you are passionate enough in the things you do, you will be the next person to succeed. anyway, i hope today until next year merdeka, there will be more improvement in people. malaysian will continue to be a harmonious, rich with culture, more open and everyone have achieve something in that year that make themselves proud. when they do, i hope there will be many many years to come of self satisfactory, self improvement and self achievement.
