attitudes
some patients' attitude really bugs me especially those 'proud' patients. all i can say is they are only full of themselves. why cant they be a lil more humble. will it cost their life to let their feet grounded on the ground. jeez. what happen today, i was dispensing to an uncle who think he was some 'big shot'. the reason because the way he talks, the accent, the style, the clothes, all shows the signs of big-shot-wannabe. if he is so big shot what the hell is he doing in a small goverment clinic. when it was his turn to take the medicine, i was pressing his numbers like gazillions times and he didnt move an inch. there's only him there in the whole pharmacy. isnt it normal if the next number to be call is yours. no..he didnt pay any attention and continued to watch the tv. so i called his name and he came. then i asked his name for confirmation and he just pointed at the prescription and say with a loud 'tuuu'. i had a wide range of patient so this affects me ntg but he already ticks all the dispensers patient buttons. then i started to asked him on how he normally take his medication. he started showing off his 'english slang' to me. i sense the tone of 'caci'ing in there. what really push my button was the way he explained it and so confidently saying he was right when everything he said was all wrong. when i corrected him, he said his mind was fully occupied by work and he cant concentrate. WTH! you cant even save your own life and now you want to talk success with me. i feel like throwing a pile of cash at his face to call him to go to hell. jeez. anyway because we are giving services to the public, we have to always have control of our emotion. they tell me patient is always right so whatever that they say we have to obliged. from my perspectives, i would go on a 'debate' with the patients since there ntg to lose already. even if they dont complained of the 'bad' services we offer, often in the public mindset it was always bad. i will show them who is the professional in this field. bugger wannabes!
