I positioned my tripod to get the best shot of the fireworks only to know when it stroke midnight, everyone stood up. Detached my camera and took all the shot at handheld. Pictures turn out not what i have in mind but what the heck. Just enjoy the moment. It was the start of a new year afterall. HAPPY NEW YEAR.
The first friend i made in 2010 was a guy name Kenny, a Bruneian studying in Switzerland. It was 3am in the morning and we are all stuck in the country not ours.
Kenny: So how was the new year's fireworks?
Me: It was quite good. The fireworks lasted for 15 minutes. The closing was nice. A big explosion of fireworks. Did you saw it from where you are at that time?
Kenny: No. I was hanging out in a friend's house when it stroked midnight. You know in Geneva there's a festival on August 8 every year and the fireworks lasted around 1 hour.
Me: .....-_-"" I guess the fireworks i saw just now was nothing compare to that. Lucky you weren't there or you will be so disappointed.
1 freaking hour in Geneva??!! I think the cost of the fireworks for that 1 hour is about a quarter of our country 1 year budget. It would be awesome to witness it though. The best I've seen so far was at Edinburgh musical fireworks. It lasted around 45 minutes and the best thing was there were love shape fireworks. If there's no love shape fireworks, then it can't beat Edinburgh even if its 1 hour or 2 hour long. LOL!
