Banning of horror movie indeed is a horror itself.

This was taken on my way home one particular thursday. Every thursday i had to go through traffic madness. Eventhough my house was less than 5 minutes away from here, it took me more than 20 minutes to reach home. Total Madness!

While reading the news online yesterday, a small section on the proposal of banning horror movies caught my eyes. It was absolutely absurd. Do they know how much a production worth? The money spend on it, the amount of manpower preparing everything, the dedicated cast sharpened skills to bring the character to live, the makeup and hair crew to transform the cast. Its a combination of a whole bunch of talented people coming together to produce a visual art. Movies is a form of art just like paintings, sculptures and musics. There's no right or wrong in art. It depends on how one perceive it. I am sure most of the horror movies were rated 18 years and above. I agree some of the scenes might be too extreme for a child viewing and can affect the child's psychology well being. Since it was rated, i don't understand why they have to go to the extremes to ban it. An eighteen year old adult can make good decision on their own. If horror is too extreme for their visual appetite, there are other option to choose from. Genres varying from comedy, love, action, sci fi, thriller, musical and etc. Why restrict our option? If decision as small as choosing a movie genre is also restricted, is it possible to produce a nation that has leadership and wise in making decisions? Instead of creating a robotic programmed nation, widening the choices and letting the society choose for themselves would be much more better. A variation of talents may be generated because of the broad options available. Isn't it better this way?

In terms of giving a negative message and weakening of faith, i totally disagree. If faith is so easily weakened and broken, that's not faith. That is a world without the power of self-restriction and poor logical thinking. Poor and sick spiritual well being. The dark age barbarism era. Are we still stuck there?
